Ambassador Patricia Cardenas and Peace Boat International Coordinator, Raul Hasbun, enjoyed the Fair which was attended by 2 thousand people.

Hundreds of Japanese people formed a line to be able to have a Colombian-flag-colored armband and to try some delicious Colombian coffee last April 11th 2010 in Yokohama.

Many could try the rich flavor of Colombian Coffee on board of Peace Boat. The National Federation of Coffee Growers offered the delicious beverage.

After visiting the Colombian table at the “Latin American Fair for Peace, Culture and Tourism” which was held on board of Peace Boat, a Japanese NGO, those who attended were very much enthusiastic with the possibility of visiting Colombia. It is estimated than 2 thousand people attended the  Fair.

One of the next trips that Peace Boat will do will be taking participants to Colombia. It is the trip number 71, which leaves the Yokohama Port in October 25th and arrives to Cartagena in December 15th. The last time that Peace Boat visited Colombia was August 17th 2007.

This group of Japanese women were delighted to try Colombian coffee and were pleased to take a picture with its icon, Juan Valdez 

Japanese visitors also enjoyed having Colombian-flag-colored armbands, which were given out at the Colombian table

This shows, once again, that Japanese appreciate the profound transformation our country has gone through and are more than willing to know our territory and support ideas that keep consolidating peace”, said Ambassador Patricia Cardenas.
